This is a pretty secret, OP. Just wanted to say that

Someone posted one using magic in my fandom recently and now I want more.

I'm with you. It's way more interesting when authors explore the potential there.

Hard agree, OP.

My fandom has magic. It has space. It has magic in space! And, yet, there are so few fics that take advantage of a fandom that offers literally anything in terms of porn possibilities.

I'm not a huge fan of interspecies unless the nonhuman is very similar to a human in their general shape and proportions (ex. human/Tolkien-type elf or human/...idk, Twi'lek? Like that.) But magic sex, oh hells to the yeah

I'll take a range of similarity. I'm not that into completely different biology between characters having sex. But, say, dwarf/elf sex can be hot (and that would be book!dwarves, not the more human-like Hobbit movie!dwarves).

But honestly I'm more interested in the cultural differences than the biological differences. Different species, even ones that are biologically somewhat similar, might have completely different sexual practices, kinks, and whatnot. But you never see that explored in fic.

I read a legolas/gimli fic (g rated) which focused on the cultural differences in elf and dwarf marriage rites and how that could cause misunderstandings. It was really good. I love cultural exploration/comparison stories

That sounds really cool. I love that kind of thing too. Cultural differences and how characters interact and make relationships (whether romantic or friendships or business or whatever) work when they are from completely different cultures.

A hot diggity \YES/ from me, OP!! I've gotten into comics lately and I am so appalled by all the 'no powers' AU's there are! More than that are the ones who just advertise the characters as powered individuals who apparently do not use /any/ of that in a sexual setting!

I have an author I literally adore who uses hal/barry to their honestly greatest potential, if you're interested? I'll share them, and some other similar power usage links if you want?
