I had a beta that insisted on adding a pain aspect to my tentacle pvp ficlet. I agreed but I wasn't happy about it.
Where should we stop if we write it realistically? Enemas and condoms made out of skins in the 19th... not sure that I like it.
Saying all that, the OP isn't wrong.

No, but really, I wanted to say I'm with you, like... some people put so much emphasis on there being pain and it's so unnecessary-- sometimes you just want tentacle funtimes!
