You guys, I type, with wonder in my eyes, I think I just became a shipper.

For more than ten years, I shipped casually, more because it was what was done in fandom than because of any inner desire to. I like romances so I like ship fic, and it's fun to (over)analyze characters and see who would fit together how.
Then, a few months ago, I started to ship pairings more organically. Seeing two people in a show and thinking, wow, there's an undercurrent there, if someone told me they were banging off-screen I would totally believe it.

But right now, for the first time, there are two characters the show (apparently) doesn't want to pair up that I need to get together. I need it, I don't care if it's in canon or fanon. And I have no idea if it's going to happen!! They're het so it's very possible, but they seem to be written as genuine antagonists, not as a bickering-until-we-fall-in-love breeding pair. But also this show has many seasons and I know that it changed production and tone over time, so anything is possible! I'm so excited. This is so much fun!

(No, I'm not gonna tell you who it is. I fear spoilers. Anyway, I might be embarrassing myself here because maybe it's totally obvious that they're going to end up together and I'm an idiot for buying into the animosity foreplay.)
