OP is clearly going in, I just really like seeing the super honorable characters...I don't want to say debased, but it's more a character can be good, but it's interesting to see what their darkness would look like. A really interesting version of it would be seeing the fall (and the inverse, I like seeing the redemption). But I guess what bothers me in general is that a character being good implies no depth, no battling darkness, etc.
In general tho, I just enjoy certain kinks that seeing a dark!Steve Rogers fills. In some fics, everyone knows he's the badman about town, in others the darkness is a secret side only some know about.

(Anonymous) 2020-10-07 12:40 pm (UTC)(link)Nah, it's not a link thing. I do like seeing characters explore that kind of thing, battle their desires. Recognize and fight grayness (or accept it?) It's interesting. Now I'm really gonna have to check these books out. I always see people discussing them here but I never read them.
