Pretty sure most fanfic smut writers haven't done a lot of what they're writing about. Pretty sure most fiction writers haven't experienced most of the scenes and stories they write. That's what fiction writing is, making stuff up. And you make stuff up depending on the needs of the fic. Sometimes the story needs a bottle of lube magically produced from a pocket universe, and sometimes it doesn't.
