You said it. It's not only disgusting, it's environmentally and socially irresponsible, and in my not-so-humble opinion, it is depriving those kids of their right to a reasonable amount of parental attention and a childhood that doesn't consist of being a mini-adult caring for younger siblings.

These women need to remember that IT'S A VAGINA, NOT A CLOWN CAR. And their husbands need to get a damned vasectomy already.

the woman couldn't conceive naturally and chose a procedure rather than adoption. she chose not to terminate. she's taking care of eight children under the age of ten and doing it really well. how are jon and kate anything like the seventeen kids and counting people?

Exactly. The Duggers are a different situation, but it's not like Jon and Kate ASKED for that many kids. I'm pro-choice, and Kate made the choice not to end the lives of any of her children. I think she speaks about that on the show, actually. They're growing up relatively healthy and happy, and those would've been lives that were just thrown away for no reason.

I'm only kidding. As I see it, Kate actually takes care of her kids and OMG buys organic and tries to be environmentally friendly and tries to help out others. Of course, no one ever sees this part of the family because they never watch the show and only complain about how many children they have.

Haha, someone posted something in the comments somewhere that Kate talks shit about the twins and she heard this from someone who supposedly has a kid in the same class as Maddie, they also said Mady is a bully. I dunno if it's just me, but it's Mady I think who seems to never be happy anyway.

And I think the same as you, the kids are pretty well-adjusted even with the camera crew there.

I agree about the Duggars, but Jon and Kate have sextuplets and twins. Jon and Kate didn't want sextuplets, but they got them and decided not to terminate any of them. I highly doubt they're having anymore.

I am thusly educated by the comments about J&K. I didn't know that about them, but I have known it can happen (try a procedure, get more than you bargained for). J&K actually sound pretty cool to the Duggars, in comparison. Actually, they look (more?) normal compared to them, too.

1000% agree. Especially the part about allowing the kids to be kids and NOT mini-parents. I hate that the parents are getting all this attention and the poor kids are getting the shaft.

I agree in the case of 17 Kids and Counting (oh look, she just had number 18 *gags*), but not in the case of Jon and Kate. I don't particularly care for the show, so I stopped watching it, but they were trying to have three kids and ended up with eight completely out of their own control, so I have much more sympathy for them.

As for the Duggars, they tried birth control in the beginning, and they're preaching on about their kids not being promiscuous, but then they're sending the message that once you're married, you're supposed to pump out babies like a goddamn machine. The woman gets pregnant basically every year. I find that disturbing. The best kind of birth control is called ABSTINENCE, guys. LEARN IT. I have no love for them at all, and I think the fact that they've got their own show is ridiculous. They did it to themselves.
