I couldn't agree more. Fuck freedom of choice to have as many children as you want - such huge families aren't sustainable, and scientists are saying that over-population's as much a threat as climate change, et al. I just don't understand why this is either hugely played down or completely ignored.

Apparently the families are sustainable, since none of them have died to my knowledge.

Well hurrah! But people continually having such large families ain't sustainable.

Key word: continually. If it was a common occurrence in this day and age, it wouldn't be receiving so much hype. People aren't continually having huge families. If they were, no one would bother making a TV show about it.

But no one is continually having large families, these two are a few outliers they aren't the norm.

Honestly overpopulation is actually probably more due to medical advances and the fact that people are living longer and are using more energy and resources then what they actually need.

In most developed post industrial countries the birth rate has gone down, so outside of a few outliers and segments no one is popping out a lot of kids.

Overpopulation is a problem, sure, but in third world countries, due to lack of education and women's rights. Most first world countries have a birth rate close or lower than the death rate, and families with more than three kids are the exception. WHOOP FACTS ALL UP IN YOUR FACE

Sour-grape fangirls just use "overpopulation!!!" as an excuse to whine about people having happy, normal families.
