You're right, "lazy" is a pretty harsh generalization. Shorthand is much better - because yeah, it's just nice to be able to get into a story where we can identify the archetypes straight off, like you were saying earlier. That's a great piece of meta, btw. I love reading about people's take on fandom (as you can probably tell from this whole conversation, lol).

And yes please to the friending! Like I said, I do just tend to lurk a lot and say very little, but I'd love to have you on my flist. :D

I appreciate how your late replies are maybe 13 hours afterwards, and mine are three days.

And I know, right? It makes me despair of writing fan-cultural-analysis pieces for class assignments, because I'll read brilliant writing like that and it just makes me want to throw up my hands.

Lol, I just get terribly paranoid about it when you're anon, because obviously you don't get the reply emails like I do. But anyhow-
