I'm late to this, not having seen the last two movies because I thought the first one was so derivative and gross. But didn't he torture her? I think I remember him torturing her. It was another reason why I didn't like the film. Kylo's character was such an unreasonably cruel and vicious PoS. You're saying they ended up together?

I'm so glad I skipped the rest of the trilogy.

No, he died. He died because he used what little bit of life he had left to heal her because earlier in the movie she had healed him. Because she healed him and then his father's force ghost talked to him he turned back to the light. As he was dying she kissed him. They don't end up together.

The novelization went further to say that she felt part of her was ripped away, but he would always be with her, even in death.
