"I was abused by my husband who was black and now I hold a grudge against all black men and vilify them to my millions of followers and even wrote a book where the villain is a deranged black man", imagine excusing this shit when it's framed in a context that's aimed at trans people.

It's not even that clear a line! It'd be like her saying "A white man abused me, but some black men abuse women too, you know! And so now I hold a grudge against all black men and vilify them to my millions of followers and even wrote a book where the villain is a deranged black man"

It's more like "A white man abused me, so now I use my platform to highlight the issue of white people pretending to be black to get into black spaces and I wrote a book where a white woman became an African Studies professor by pretending she's a black latina."

Oh, fuck right off.

Do you deny the fact that mixed-race people have to deal with shit because of the famous people and media platform highlighting the extremely rare cases of white people pretending to be black?

NAYRT but "cis male rapists in dresses" would be analogous to white people pretending to be POC.

Which makes the people arguing that trans women shouldn't be allowed in cis women's spaces in case they provide cover for predatory cis men analogous to the people attacking mixed race people because they think they're secretly white poseurs.

Those people are assholes.

People who attack trans women because they think they're cis men are also assholes.

Yes, those people are assholes. Yet blackfishing callout posts are upvoted on tumblr, twitter, and even f!s on a regular basis, and nobody talks about it with half as much heat as they do about Rowling.

The villain wasn't a trans man, this is what happens when you fall for clickbait
