Hear, hear. I don't get wanting to waste time dumping on stuff I don't like when there's so much fun I could be having with the ships I enjoy instead.

OP

To elaborate on the secret, this isn’t really a wholesome attitude on my part or anything. I think it still stems from my competitive streak, even when it’s something dumb like competing over ships. It’s just that my definition of Best Ship is when my to-read list is too long and my WIP folder too overbursting to deal with anyone else.

Does anyone else get as annoyed as I do seeing anti comments from your own faction? I’m just like, “Gross, you’re making us look like weak fools!” In contrast anti comments on my own ship give me joy, they can stay pressed.

I agree that negativity is, in general, not very productive.

That said, as long as people don't tag their hate with pro-[thing] tags, I will defend their right to rant and vent and whatever, on their own tumblr, without people acting like they're being awful.

Don't like their take? Unfollow them.

(Now if they're calling people pedos and human garbage and all that shit, then I'm not going to defend them. There's ranting about a ship/character, and then there's attacking the people who like said ship/character. They still have a right to say whatever anti shit they want, but I don't care if they get dunked on for it.)
