I understand that. There was a reality show contestant I couldn't help being so uncomfortable every time I saw, even though she seemed like a sweet person and I had no reason to assume she was at all similar, because she superficially resembled someone who had hurt me years ago.

It's unfortunate to have associations like that, but I think it's your brain trying to protect you by recognizing potential similarities... as long as you aren't sincerely making a real judgement of someone just based on appearance, I think it's pretty normal to feel uncomfortable or even angry when you see someone who looks like a shitty person. I hope it doesn't ruin the canon for you!
