Reds, especially deep and vivid reds. Also autumn colors- deep and dark oranges, greens, blues, browns, reds, yellows.

Classic Victorian Gothic - dark woods, rich deep colours, big windows, crowded bookshelves, stone arches, all that jazz. Crows, owls, and big black dogs as available.

Library. Not a modern, clinical, noisy, kids'-daycare type library, but an old-fashioned room with modern books as well, comfy chairs and big terrestrial and celestial globes. Pemberley library would probably do.
