Perhaps it's just the comms that I tend to hang out in (this one, fm_alchemist, and a couple of others) where I see this kind of attitude. I've no doubt that some douche anime fans do the opposite, but my frustration stems from my own experiences. And this trend has become particularly apparent since the new anime has been announced.

Had this been before Killer Bee's intro, I would have agreed. But right now, not only do I not believe Tsunade will go anytime soon (who else is highprofile enough to be Hokage right now?), but I will also not quit the manga until I see him waste the potential of Killer Bee's character with my very own eyes. He is what is keeping me hopeful for Naruto, since it seems none of the other characters I'm interested in will ever get to have a spot in the limelight after this.

Oh god, now I'm so glad that I stopped reading Naruto.

I think it's mainly Nomura's fault. Most of the sequel fail seems to originate from him (Ring of Fates is pretty good and I've heard Revenant Wings is as well, and he's not involved in those).

I suppose it is 'of course,' but it really shouldn't be. I know Dissidia's just a cash cow, but they should at least try to make it resemble the characters they're portraying.

Funny how he was just the character designer for Dissidia and didn't actually write the game's story as you seem to claim.

129: Seriously? I haven't been in the fandom for a while, but whenever I did, as soon as I said I'd seen the anime and not read the manga, I'd have a pile onto me telling me hwo much the anime sucks and the manga is so much better. It happened so often that it actually made me decide to not read the manga, because... well, if I loved the anime so much and everyone who read the manga told me how much it sucked all the time, clearly I wouldn't have the taste for the manga.

Dissidia is a polished game with very good combat mechanics. And it's not supposed to be a sequel, it's just a spin-off with fighting.

But seriously, complaining about the storyline in Dissidia is like complaining about the story in Smash Brothers.

And this is funny coming from an artist that loves to draw out-of-character crap with Earthbound and Gurren-Lagann characters.
