(Anonymous) 2008-12-28 01:35 pm (UTC)(link)The anime did change quite a bit and for the large part, they changed it for the better (in the opinions of a sizable chunk of the fandom), which is the interesting thing and is pretty rare in adaptations and that's why manga fans get so defensive, if I had to guess.
The manga is still ok, I follow it every month, and it might get better--finished works always look better than works-in-progress, I guess. When it is good it is really good, but the villains aren't as interesting to me.
And you're only an elitist if you get personally offended when a person likes one or the other more.
