Grumps

(Anonymous) 2020-10-20 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I am in such a grumpy mood today

What do you do when you're in a mood like that?

Re: Grumps

(Anonymous) 2020-10-20 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Usually when I feel that way, I’m at work, so I can’t do much about it. I just look back at the clock every thirty seconds until the grumpiness turns into dismal resignation.

Eat something sugary + watch an episode of Bob's Burgers after work

Uh, same anon as above and I just realized you probably wanted a helpful answer *facepalm*

I guess fantasizing about yelling at people (and worse) was what helped me survive high school (aka the Era of Permanent Grump). Just because I can’t do something on the outside doesn’t mean I can’t picture it on the inside.

Take a nap. I usually feel tired and weird when I wake up, but not as grouchy.

If I can, listen to music and space out for a while. Maybe do some embroidery too if there's enough good light.

Honestly? Stephen Root. I think he's great in everything, but Fuches on Barry might be his new personal best. He's such a perfect slimeball.

Making this recipe for corn coconut soup:

https://smittenkitchen.com/2020/08/corn-coconut-soup/

I bought some corn back during sweet corn season, sliced off the kernels, and then froze the kernels and cobs separately. I pulled out the cobs and made the stock last night (and also sliced the onion). I'm am now in the simmering stage of the soup. Got a lime defrosting for the juice.
