A few things.
(Anonymous) 2020-10-22 03:00 am (UTC)(link)2. An audience can interpret things how they like, personally. Part of any art presented to an audience is how the audience reacts to it. Now, that doesn't mean that anyone's interpretation necessarily supersedes the author's. And each audience member can also be wrong.
3. More goes into the end product than just what the author intends. Their attitudes, biases, and perspective play a part, plus those of anyone they got information from, plus those of anyone who had their hand in the text, like an editor.
