Both things I’m dwelling on involve times when I almost accidentally left something important somewhere, so not the worst possible things, just anxiety-inducing ones. One of them was ages ago and could probably have been easily solved if I had carried out the mistake (almost forgot my house keys at work back when I Lyfted to and from work, but the place was still open - I think - so I could have gone back for them, it just would have been a pain), but I was reminded of it because I almost left my favorite mask on a bench the other day after getting ice cream, got halfway down the street, and ran back praying it was still there. >_

Anon, this sounds like OCD. I immerse myself with "catastrophe" scenarios all the time, last night for instance. You're not alone!
