I ship Sam/Ruby, but at least it's canon and makes sense.

I do too, actually! Well, I don't go out of my way to read Sam/Ruby fic, but I enjoy Dean/Castiel fic where it's a side pairing. I like it in the show, too.

There's just something about pairing one brother with a demon and the other with an angel that just really appeals to me *g*

Most of the Dean/Castiel fics I come across are ones where Sammy has gone evil and I don't want Evil!Sammy.

I read a fic that's been completed where Castiel nearly gets killed by Alistair and his demons, and loses his grace. Instead of turning into an unborn baby like Anna, he turns into a little kid. Baby Cas goes to Sam and Dean, who help him and take care of him until that jerk Uriel turns him back to his normal self and an angel.

That really is an amazing fic.

And the ones where Sam isn't evil, Castiel is usually out of character. I haven't found any good Dean/Castiel fics.

I LOVE THAT FIC! Entertaining Angels was a great fic.

I also don't want Evil!Sam in Dean/Castiel fics. I like a healthy important interactive Sam. He's too important to ignore D:
