Actually, I believe incest is about blood ties. That's the definition. Maybe it's a matter of opinion, but I personally don't see anything that creepy about it--it's one thing if your parents married when you were young, you sort of adopted your stepparent as though they were your real parent and their family as though it were yours--then, while technically still not incest, it would be creepy or as though you were committing incest with a sibling. But if the kids are mostly grown up and just think of each other as someone who happens to live in the same house--then no, there's nothing wrong with it.

The same thing applies the other way around, with parents getting together after the kids. They're big boys and girls. They can make their own decisions.

I wasn't talking definitions but rather the implicit issues involved in incest that would make a situation like the one the OP described creepy.

It really is a matter of opinion, not something so concrete as biology. There is a very blurry boundary between what is acceptible and unacceptible. Hypothetically, you might think it's all right for Greg and Marsha to get together but not Cindy and Bobby. OP thinks that line should never be crossed.

It can still be creepy without being incestuous.

I'll admit that this secret is coming from somewhere personal-- my mom and her husband make constant jokes about setting me up with his son, who they already know I find really attractive. I'm 20 and he's 25, we live on opposite sides of the country, we've only met twice, and our parents have only been married for three years. Even so, their joking and teasing make me very uncomfortable.

I can understand that other people may not find this kind of situation creepy, but I just thought I'd give you a clue as to where I'm coming from.
