Has the writing also improved? Because the pacing in season one, and the way they handled the 'twist' was shit. I also hated that from the morally dubious universe, the alternative version of the Captain somehow became a good character? God, I hate that show so fucking much.

The evil-captain is very clearly still a bad person? Like she isn't written as a hero, she's written as a bad guy working for the good guys.

Eh. The implication was that she was somehow better than Jason Isaac's character, even if marginally. But they spent pretty much no time building Jason Isaacs character up, whereas she frankly seemed more evil overall. Then they killed him and kept her, and I just DGAF anymore. I stopped watching.

The only reason she gets saved is because she shares good-captain's face, Michael even says she saved her because of this. It wasn't about her being better it was about Michael having an understandable moment of misplaced sentiment.

I was talking about how the show handled it in general, rather than Michael's specific motivations. I've said my piece anyway. Nobody has told me anything that makes me think the writing has improved or that the writers know what the fuck they're doing, so I'll keep on giving it a miss.
