Well, this is a fascinating take, that's for sure. I liked Meng Yao's character very much, but I definitely wouldn't excuse any of his actions. Plotting to murder innocent people is wrong, in my book.

I also enjoyed Xue Yang, his over the top villainy helped liven up the Yi city arc. But saying that one person "deserves" another as a romantic prize just sounds super creepy.
