me too. half my friends *in* the spn fandom are wincesters and anyone who hates a character usually dislikes them for reasons that have nothing to do with the brothers. and i have no idea who in the hell hates castiel. |:

I haven't seen all of this frothing-at-the-mouth hate I've been hearing about. Honestly, the only thing I've been hearing is people bitching about the Wincest lovers being uppity or whatnot, and I'm genuinely curious as to where it's going on. I don't know, maybe my corner of the internet is just tame, because I haven't seen any shipping wank. Which is a shame, as I find wank of any sort to be an endless source of entertainment. :(

I'm with you on 115. I haven't seen it anywhere and I was around for the "Sam is raping Ruby's host" debacle and the "Sam is a necrophiliac" debacle. I don't agree with either, considering Ruby technically kept the body alive.

I was really iffy on Ruby being around at the beginning because I couldn't get over the fact that she was possessing someone and Sam wasn't doing shit which, you know, wasn't cool. But I didn't hear much about it. I think I'm just mysteriously absent for the shenanigans or something. xD

I thought the same thing! I must not be hanging out in the right places or something.

It's not, I'm pretty sure. I think one poster made a secret about how Castiel/Dean bugged them, leading to someone else making a secret about how Sam/Dean bugged them, and then ... repeat. I'm pretty sure all the wank is pretty much happening here.

Who the hell knows where the drama is going on. I could probably wear the shoe the OP's throwing but at the end of the day I don't care who ships who and why. I am pretty lucky to finally be in a fandom where my pairing has a following and decent fic. I am too invested in that to be bitchy about other pairings. And who the hell doesn't like Castiel!? Katie!Ruby was a character I enjoyed and really looked forward too; Gen!Ruby and this storyline bores me to tears but it doesn't have anything to do with Wincest love.

I can honestly say I've never hated a character because they 'interfered' with my pairing of choice. It just seems something silly to get upset over when your OTP isn't canon anyway, so it can't technically be 'broken up.'

I will cop to a 12-year old fit because I was, well, 12. *lol* But, yeah, the canon's going to go how it goes, we've no control over that and that's why we have fan fiction - a LOT of it - and pretty much any base can be covered (and usually is).
