I am not a collector at all. The closest thing I have to something that could be called a figurine is a bunch of happy meal toys from when I was a kid, and they're all jumbled up in a box somewhere because I don't care about them.

A large majority of the figures that sell are busty anime waifus and you're delusional if you think they're not.

As someone who deals in anime figures (as in, I win them from crane games and sell them)... yeah, this is 100% true. Male characters don't tend to get many figures unless they're from a popular shounen series (like Demon Slayer, One Piece, My Hero Academia or Dragon Ball), and even then the female characters from the same series will usually get more figures, AND they tend to be meant to look sexy instead of cool. The guys get action poses, the girls get the boobs-and-butt poses.

I can't speak for everyone, but when it comes to character collectibles, I go for cute, not sexy. And when I go for "cute", I want traditional baby "cute" with big eyes and round plush features, not the bug-eyed square-headed Funko style.
