This is a thread where someone posted about how a pretty specifically American thing - #OwnVoices - doesn't make sense because it wouldn't make sense in the context of their own country

To use this as an example of "Americans wanting to make everything about me" is absolute fucking lunacy. This is literally an example of a non-American doing the exact thing you decry when Americans do it and you still want to turn it into an excuse to yell about American cultural imperialism.
