Yup, it's weird how people get morally offended when you don't care more than an 'oh, that's a shame' about a celeb dying. It's objectively sad obviously and I hope their families have a support network to help, but it's not going to ruin my day or bother me for the rest of my life because I don't actually know them, they're a complete stranger who wouldn't be able to pick me out of a crowd and who I've never interacted with. Why would I be overly broken-up about them dying?

But then celeb-worship is bizarrely normalized even though they're just regular people who got lucky in life.
