I used to like him. I used to freakin' love him. Viral and he were my two favorite characters! After my friend got obsessed with him, because he died, she pointed out every single annoying point about his character, because she loved him. He was developed, but I think he was a completely shallow douche, from beginning to end. My favorite part is that he never gets over his selfishness--he should have never taken over the Dai-Gurren-dan in the first place D<

Kamina had to die for Simon to grow up. Since Simon grew up and stepped up to be the leader, Kittan really didn't have to. It took him a while. Not until he realized what Rossiu was doing did he really take that next step into maturity. But it was only a few little steps. He was still a blustering big goof. I think made him a more endearing and realistic character that he only had bursts of heroism. But that's my opinion and everyone gets to have one.
