Coming from a blond/blue-eyed girl, it's a strange stereotype.

That every Western European nation is a little blond/blue-eyed Aryan is weird. They're still rare even in white nations.

I'm thinking this is more of a Japanese stereotype. They usually portray foreigners as blonds with blue eyes.

It's weird, but this series is written by a Japanese guy. It's a stereotype in Japan that foreigners from Europe and America have blond hair and blue eyes. This is a series constructed on....hey! Stereotypes.

It's probably because in anime style, Asians and Europeans are usually drawn with the same facial features and such, so "blue-eyed blond" is kind of a visual cue for "Westerner".
