132: Bobby is great! He's one of my favorite characters. He loves the boys. They are family. The boys love him. How could you not love Bobby? I've never met anyone who doesn't like Bobby.

Sadly, I've run into more than a few people who don't like Bobby. Which ... okay, I get that everybody's got their own tastes and not everybody's going to like someone, but what's to judge exactly? That he's not a Winchester and should therefore be blown up or something because Dean and Sam should never talk to anyone but themselves?

People don't like Bobby? Just, uh, never seen that yet. Bobby loves them like they were his own, hell, half the time I think he loves them more than John did (minus the soul-selling).

Well, let's remember -- we're talking about a fandom where there more than a few fans who genuinely hate anyone who talks to Sam and Dean and would prefer they rarely if ever talk to or befriend anyone. Granted, they're the wanky fans people avoid, but still.

And there's a couple of people a few pages back calling him a Gary Stu, which I'm still trying to figure out. Bobby? Seriously? That's a low Gary Stu tolerance if he's supposed to be one. Now, that secret a few days ago calling Castiel a Gary Stu ... that I might buy. (I do love Castiel, but ... yeah, I can see where that accusation might be coming from.)

*smh* I still don't get it. *lol* I call SPN "The Sam and Dean Show" but more Bobby, Pamela, Tamara, Ellen.... that just makes it BETTER. Insert IMO as needed.

I don't get the Gary Stu thing at all. Bobby's got flaws galore, when he finally got back story it could have been something a lot less than killing his wife to kill the demon... and missing the kids on a hunting trip. I wank that Castiel is Stuish because he's an angel, but even with his wings he's far from perfectly drawn. I love grey!Castiel a la 4x10 though.

Bobby is such an unoffensive character. He's like a big teddy bear. I don't understand how somebody can actually develop a dislike, much less a hate for him. He's Bobby!
