146. I wouldn't say most people who've played the game don't know who s/he is. S/he doesn't have the most characterization ever, but considering his/her importance to the plot...

Really? Because when I try to talk about the villain of the game, all I tend to get are puzzled glances or fanboys raving about 'evil!Kaya'.

Well, I'm not in the fandom at all, so I wouldn't really know, the idea of people having played the game and not knowing who s/he was just seemed... odd to me. I mean, if you don't notice/remember that character, how do you make sense of the plot of the game? But I guess I was overestimating the fandom's intelligence.

I'm not entirely sure myself. It wasn't exactly fair to Western fans who for the most part wouldn't immediately get the older game references, but it wasn't that hard to figure out, either. (I played SMTI/II after DSRK, because of this character >_>)

Nevertheless, I've heard it asserted more than once that 'Kaya cut her hair because she was in love with Raidou', and that is plot!recognition failure on so many levels.
