I don't even care about the relevance of this secret to Hetalia. I just want to LOL that you are insulted that the series is calling your country fail.

Um...check your WWII history. Italy was pretty damn fail.

While we're at it, the French suck at wars, the British are pricks, the Chinese are cheap, the Russians are evil, and the Americans are rednecks.

Because NOBODY ever makes fun of countries EVER.

Before the mid-19th century, France was actually pretty good at warfare. They were the most powerful country in Europe for a while.

And the British weren't always pricks (okay, debatable), and the Russians aren't all evil, and the Americans aren't all rednecks. It was just an example of how countries get made fun of all the time.

My great grangfather who did Verdun (305 000 k) will certainly be pleased by the fact that he "suck" at war, I will tell him the next time I flourish his tomb...

why everybody forget about WWI?? did you guys realize france lost 1,397,800 soldiers!! in one war we lost more soldiers than americans in all their wars (include the civil one and irak) and france has the
size of the texas...

And for WWII americans people need to know that battle of France was very brutal, the allied (france and Great Britain) + Holland and Belgium lost a lot of people
for France 92 000 k! in six weeks!! of course it can't compare to
the east front but it still the bloodiest battle of the front west

Yes I'm sensitive but after hearing for countless times the famous "surrender cheese monkeys" joke, I'm close to lost my nerves.. (no it's not funny, not anymore)
however I don't mind joke about collaboration because it is based on the true..

Oh yeah. The fact that France had millions of soldiers get killed TOTALLY proves how much they don't suck at war.
