Mood. I'm running on, like, four hours of sleep.

Yeah. I'm doing a bit better today now that Biden won MI and my Democratic Senator held his seat, but this election has really been a kick in the teeth.

I was nonny-so-furious-I-couldn't-breathe last night but I've calmed way the fuck down since this morning, when I realized there wasn't yet a winner. I knew there were mail-ins to count, but the way the projections were going (I know, only go to 270towin, you dweeb), and DeJoy being his usual cunt self, I honestly panicked for a bit and imagined living in a country where I had much fewer rights and couldn't do anything about it. But at least I dreamed of cute animals. I guess my brain was trying to soothe itself.

I'm cool now. I realize it'll be a while, but now I understand what's going on a little better now. I kept saying I wanted everyone's voice to be heard, but that's definitely harder to do in reality.

I have been nauseous and anxious all day. Woke up every hour last night. Not great. And I still need a fridge.

I'm sorry, that sucks. Hopefully there's a good sale on fridges where you live!

Eczema flare up.

Oh god, my eczema is out of control today too. (I'm about to go put on lotion, so I'll get it together hopefully.)

I've been desperate enough to slather myself with bath oil in the shower because I don't have a bath. Makes skin less angry but makes floor more slippery. 7/10.

I hope we appease the skin gods quickly with offerings of emollient, anon. <3

Mine too! I went through the "knuckles are dense clusters of subdermal blisters" then "armor of thick scales" then "deep split down one finger" then (after 2 days of wearing lotion gloves to sleep) "badly peeling human skin" phases.. ew.. why can't I have reliably human skin?

Just tired of everything and wishing I could run away somewhere, but I gotta drink another cup of coffee and finish my work.

I've got headphones on, a lot of filters in place, and I'm watching a hell of a lot of cute animal videos.

Really hopeful! If Biden wins tomorrow which he now has a good chance, gonna order in Chinese food and start planning for Christmas because I’m just in a cheery mood like that~ <3

My liver could be doing better. My boss is panicking a bit, as shown by him mainlining Rush Limbaugh for two days now. This brings me joy, even though I have to put on my headphones to avoid even the slightest whisper of that terrible man's voice.

Just woke up from a 4 hour nap, so feeling a little better. Still have a sinus infection, though.

My brother-in-law's condition isn't great, so looks like my parents will be with him into December.

I got word I was chosen as an honorable mention in a big writing contest so I'm a little happy about it. I didn't place but I think it's good for my first contest and it's a major contest so I'm proud of myself for getting that far.
I also talked with my brother for over an hour today so that was fun.

Been watching Vaush. I'm sure he's problematic, but he's very good at making fun of Trumpers, so I've been having a blast.

Took Tuesday and Wednesday off work. Tuesday was nice. I had already voted, so the day was spent sleeping in a bit, making chocolate chip pancakes, getting lots of chores done, and taking a long walk in some spectacularly beautiful autumn weather. Went to bed early with earplugs in, carefully not looking at the news. Wednesday, I spent the morning lying on the couch, staring at the wall making stress noises. I did eventually get my ass up, eat something, and go get a covid test like I'd planned. I also baked bread tonight (pan de muerto without anise because I don't like anise) and worked on a sewing project.

Huffing social media unhealthily all night. I'm not too worried about the presidency anymore but this:

"Voter suppression is a deadly serious problem! I've been posting an article every day about it happening in a different city since early voting began!"

"On November 3, 2020... half of American citizens... proved they want Trump reelected."

You may to pick ONE, folks. One. You cannot have your pessimism cake and eat it too.

Both can be true, though. Either way, it means a LOT of people still voted for Trump despite all that he did, and that's depressing. It means we need to sit down and have some serious conversations with others.
