(Anonymous) 2020-11-05 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)And as long as AO3 is able to exist, faneorks will not be deplatformed. And I think it would take a sea change in copyright law to lead to AO3 no longer being able to exist. But I am not a lawyer.

(Anonymous) 2020-11-05 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)AO3 can be deplatformed through actions against their hosting provider, trivially filtered by ISPs (many of whom are owned by content providers these days), and delisted through action against the search tools that direct people to them. They also depend on a third-party service to process donation payments, which is also vulnerable to attack.
