(Anonymous) 2020-11-07 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)The writing has been so uneven and Din is NOT coming off as a good "parent." So, this is "Baby Yoda eats big lizard spawn eggs" just wasn't funny after like the 2nd time. Din, get with the program.

(Anonymous) 2020-11-08 01:00 am (UTC)(link)But I definitely don't think Mando is meant to be a "good parent" yet, and whether he'll ever truly get there is still very up in the air. I wouldn't want him to be a good parent at this point in the story. He's not even a parent, let alone a good or bad one. He has grown attached to this child and protective of it, but I don't think he thinks of himself as the child's parent, and therefore the way he behaves towards the child is different than the way a parent behaves. To me, that's solid and interesting characterization. Making Mando a good parent this early in the game would feel cloying and forced, imo.
