I hate how often I look at a het ship I hate and realize that I would love it forever if you flipped one of the characters' genders.

I feel this way a lot, mostly because I hate gender-norm tropes, especially ones that turn characters into different people when they are in a relationship than they are the rest of the time. So I like things that play with conventions and switch things up. A male character with the typical female tropes paired with a female character with more commonly male-character tropes is just more interesting to me.
