Spoilers for the Queen's Thief Series

(Anonymous) 2020-11-08 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
I really really loved Return of the Thief, it was surprisingly relationship filled? also weirdly sexy or more sex implied scenes than I expected.

But it made me like Gen/Irene, my OTPs of OTPs, a little less (and Sophos/Helen, who were sweet as hell, a little more).

S!B: Gen and Irene get together after she has him tortured and cuts off his hand, and he's essentially the reincarnation of a trickster god with all the aggravation and literally mercurial moods that implies, and on their wedding night they threw things at each other and cried together, so I feel like I should have been used to their volatile relationship, but it felt fanfic-y a little bit?

B!S: I'm so fucking glad MWT confirmed Relius/Teleus, even with their open relationship, and she didn't bury her gays. Wish she had confirmed Costis/Kamet.

Your thoughts mirror my own. A great conclusion to a great series.

B!S: I too wish she had confirmed Costis/Kamet, but I was still absurdly pleased that their closeness served as a minor plot point.
