Wow, that's a lot of unexpected judgment there. Hardbacks might be better to you, but I prefer to buy and receive paperbacks because they're lighter and take up less room on my bookshelf, as I have limited space. I give paperbacks as gifts because I'm on a budget. Fortunately for me, I'm not in the habit of exchanging presents with book snobs.
