Same, honestly. I kinda want to do a marathon of seasons 1-5 after the finale just for nostalgia.

I think I might do that after I finish my Buffy marathon. Will definitely stop at 5, though. I hate everything after that, at least the parts I watched, and I have no interest in picking up the later stuff.

I don't watch the show but have a friend who did and then abandoned it for a few years. But she binged it in the run up to the latest episodes so I don't think this would be an unusual feeling!

It's reminded me of the affection I still half-have for this ship, but not enough to catch-up with the current canon. I really didn't like anything after season 5 so I know I'd just end up getting annoyed with it again, little crumbs of a ship I once liked isn't enough of a reason to put myself through that.

that's the correct choice. i actually really liked season four up until the very end and only quit for real towards the beginning of season five (all because of decisions made regarding characters i liked), but i would end it at season three if i ever started a rewatch.

I think I started in S6 (honestly can't remember), watched and then bought S1-5, almost all of which I enjoyed tremendously. Plus, I have a mad lust for Jared Padalecki.

I also rather liked S8 & 9 because of certain character arcs. I wasn't in the fandom, exactly, I was fandom-adjacent. And I never shipped anyone. Wincest disgusts me. Then I stopped watching unless a particular episode was recommended by someone I trust. However, I have watched most of this season and will to the end. But it su-uh-ucks!
