Re: What books are you reading this week?

Okay I need to know -- is this the same Alex Rider from Storm Breaker, aka James Bond for the youth aka the love of my 11 year old life?

Or somebody else entirely? Because I hear he's getting a show, and I'm just mad that no one loved him like I did when I did lol but I'm glad if kids are reading the books -- they were fun.

Yessss. The show starts at Point Blank because I guess they didn't want to rehash Stormbreaker because of the movie from 2006 (which after reading the book this weekend stayed pretty true despite the significant PGing of the visuals et al), but I enjoyed it, and it got me into the books despite being a 37 year old woman lol.

It's on prime right now, season 1 covers PB and it looks like it's already gearing up for a second season because IMDB has 2 seasons listed (with no info on the second season yet though).

AYRT

Yay! I'm so excited then! I wanted so badly to be him/his female counterpart or be his girlfriend. But I was 11 lol. It was likely around this time I wanted to be a spy too.

The books (from what I remember, 17 years ago) were great! It was such an adventure, I'm kind of sad I didn't keep the books (I wanted other kids to read it and go on adventures). I didn't watch the movie when it came out, but I'm glad the show is good! I might check it out. You're not old, and one is never too old for adventure!
