A bug-free home.

Yikes, anon. That sounds stressful!

Possibly useful products you didn't ask for

If you're the anon the other day with the roach (almost) infestation -- idk if you have RAID available where you are, but these products were helpful with keeping things in relative check (as in check as a prewar apartment in a large city could be)

Raid Double Control roach baits (haven't tried the one with egg stopper but why not)
Raid Roach gel (it's brown and doesn't look pretty but it works)
Raid Max Bug Barrier

Of course, if you don't have pets or small children, you can always use Borax powder, but use caution.

I don't know if you live in an apartment situation, but what really sucks is that roaches (and depending where you are but could be any number of species, I'm pretty sure the ones I've seen often are German roaches (Blatella germanica) & water bugs EUGH) is that:
1. They can literally be in the walls/in the in-between if furniture panels etc.
2. Even if you manage to keep your place tidy & spotless, if your neighbors don't, you'll be affected too.

I'm sure you likely know these things already, and bugs in the home would drive anyone crazy, believe me, I know, and it's utterly revolting trying to sleep, let alone exist when in the back of your mind you have this infestation. I hope you're able to find a solution soon, anon!

Thanks for the suggestions, but the problem isn't an infestation on my end. It's shitty building construction and/or lack of quality control (like "slanted" wall receptacle panels leaving a gap, which can only be fixed by someone straightening the receptacle inside so the panel is flush), and inability to see any hidden holes. Also possibly an HVAC system that isn't properly sealed (though they don't believe that's the case). And yes, I'm aware it could be a gross apartment neighbor, but IMO, I suspect this structure was slapped together very quickly. Which wouldn't bother me if they weren't whoring the place to be a luxurious experience. THERE'S NOTHING LUXURIOUS ABOUT BUGS THAT DON'T STOP COMING IN GDI.

There isn't much I can do except keep checking for visible holes and gaps, have maintenance keep fixing what I suspect is an entrance, and have the guy spray whenever I see another bug. And hope a hard freeze spanning several days happens soon so I can relax and actually have people over when the pandemic slows down. It's a slow process for which there may not even be a solution. I've pulled my bed away from the wall, am always inspecting any room I enter after 5PM, and practically jump every time I see a shadow. I never know when I'll see the next bug, and pray it'll only be the next morning when I find it dead on the floor.

teal deer: Not an infestation, likely crappy building construction, doing the best I can.
