All the werewolf imprinting stuff is handled suuuuuuuper weirdly in Twilight, yeah (the werewolves in general, tbqh)

Yup. Jacob was never into Bella apparently, but to an egg in her womb, and when the baby is born he latches onto the kid. But Don't worry Renesme(or whatever the fuck that damn name is) will be an adult by the time she's six! And Jacob will follow her around the entire time and be 'her best friend' until she's of age for him to boink.

It's also worse when you find out that the Native American tribe wrote as the wolf-pack are an actual real tribe that exist irl today. So it adds another even more fucked up layer to the racism already there in the text.

da - oh, and they're a real tribe who could do with some money because some of their houses are endangered by rising sea levels and so forth, so a bit of that sweet sweet 'international bestseller' money would be nice... but no.

(also yes the jacob/renesme thing is very creepy and being like 'child grooming is cool and not terrible!' just made it worse)
