There was this book I read in highschool that was mainly from the point of view of this girl who was very socially awkward and thought a bit much of herself, and there were a lot of moments in it where I really... perhaps unwillingly sympathised with her? Like there were bits where she was just so rude to people she wanted to be friends with, and she didn't see that she was being rude, and... yeah, been there, done that.
Some judicious googling tells me the title was "The Murder of Bindy Mackenzie"

Ayy, I read that book too! I always think about it when I hear the word Cincinnati because of that part where she's, uh... losing it. Good times!
