Ah, but admitting that we're all inherantly racist is the first good step to changing that little fact, don't you think? ^_^ It would certainly be much more effective than these constant arguments of "I'M NOT RACIST/HOMOPHOBIC/SEXIST!" "YES YOU ARE YOU BASTARD!" "AM NOT!" "ARE TOO!"

Perhaps I didn't put my point forwards as I should have done, but I'll try and deal with everything in one fell swoop.

I agree, standing up and saying "Yeah, I guess I am inherently racist" is better than the childish arguments. However, standing there, admitting it, and then leaving it at that is not much better. Admitting it may be the first step - but we have to work towards bettering ourselves.

However (and I'm assuming you know Avenue Q/it's story/the songs well enough to understand this next bit) to me - the character that comes across the best in "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist" is Christmas Eve, because she is the only one that does not deny she is racist before admitting it.

Although, to be fair - none of the characters in the song come across well - they admit to being racist, but they do nothing about it.

Eh, maybe I'm just preaching to the choir by now. I've said what I think needs saying so I'm gonna leave it at that.
