Awww. I like your theory. :)) I read a fic once that had Odo reproducing in the link somehow, and his offspring/daughter later meets Kira--and her default humanoid appearance is exactly like Kira because that's who Odo thought about most. It was awfully sweet.

I remain convinced that he does eventually come back. After all, if Spock can reconcile his human and Vulcan sides eventually, can't Odo finally have both his people and Kira?

Oh gosh, I wish I still had it. I think I found it at the alt.startrek.creative archive (trekiverse.org) somewhere. Let me have another look. (I tried to find it for someone for Christmas and didn't succeed.)

i personally feel that after teaching the rest of the Founders how to Get Along With The Universe At Large (tm), he went straight back to Kira's side. :P
