112- It's fucked up and pedoish even without her age being made clear. She's obviously growing into adulthood, that's the point of the movie-- but Jareth is supposed to look exactly like the man her mother is now dating! Elektra complex ftw, yo. Her being 14 doesn't make it any more or less fucked up.

i thought it was her step mom, so that would be her dad she's dating...

No, no her mom. She's an actress and apparently dating somebody who looks just like Jareth. (though I never noticed that, I have to rewatch the movie...like I need an excuse) Her father doesn't look anything like Jareth.

Are they even supposed to be dating? I thought it was her mom's co-star in some play.

(I also thought her mom was dead, but that might've just been me making things up.)

Nope her boyfriend. Look at the headlines if you watch the movie again.

..... and to ZanZou chan: I never saw any evidence in the movie that she ever had a crush on Jareth. (Then again, that can be debated based on people's preception of the ballroom scene)

I actually have no idea if they're supposed to be dating. I never paid that close attention. I'm also not sure if her mom is supposed to be dead. Fanfiction seems to agree she's not but then again it's fanfiction so...
