I do the same with Delaware. Only mine is more like "HOLY CRAP SOMEONE REALIZES WE EXIST."

Delaware reprazent! ;) (I went to high school in Wilmington.)

Fight Club is the only movie I know of that's set in Delaware. I don't think they ever mention its name, but you can tell from the nearby towns they name and the whole "credit card capital of the world" thing.

i think what you are saying is true of the book but i think the movie was set in Miami.

For real? Weird! I watched the movie with two other people from Wilmington, and I remember them getting excited when one of the characters was mentioning nearby towns (though it's been so long since I saw it, I couldn't for the life of me tell you any details of that scene). I'll just have to watch it again. :)

I've never seen or read Fight Club, but I did remember hearing that one version was set in Delaware. If memory serves, part of Dead Poet's Society was also filmed upstate as well.

Even if Delaware gets mentioned, it still makes me sad because it's always Wilmington. I'm from southern Delaware (grew up in Seaford, now live in Lincoln) and we never get any recognition. The only time I remember seeing Seaford mentioned anywhere was when the Wal-Mart parking lot flooded. D:

You're right -- Dead Poets' Society was filmed at St. Andrews. My 9th grade history teacher told us her sweater was in that movie, on one of the extras. :)
