I want to hug this person so hard, because I just got into that fandom/related fandoms, and I'm all in my honeymoon stage, but at the same time I know what it's like to fall out of love with a fandom and it sucks. So, BIG HUGS, OP, and I think if you wrote your heart out for the fandom, and made friends, they won't forget you.

Maybe someday you'll want to come back, but even if you don't, love anyway. :)

First... Welcome to the fandom!

Second... I totally second the "your friends will still love you" sentiment. I've been in the fandom for nearly five years and plenty of my friends have come and gone during that time. We're still friends, still on each others f-lists, because friendships don't have to be about the fandom they started in... I hope her friends will feel the same way.
