Just had to chime in and add one to your list of anime/manga that do age the characters: Lucky Star.

Okay okay, they don't really look any older, but it's just a couple years and their high school kids, so I guess that's excusable. XD But it does deal with the fact that they are going to graduate and have to figure out what they're going to do in the future and whatnot. Yay for having a concrete sense of time!

Also, Full Metal Alchemist (Ed is visually getting older... dispite his lack of hieght lol.) and Fruits Basket (they age a couple of years during the main part. Also, in the epilogue, some of them are shown as much older).


(In the manga, I haven't seen the anime)
