136 Thank you. I'm not in that fandom, but I hate the way that the media/lame fans focus on one member, because they can't pay attention to more than one person at a time. Also Patrick is an amazing singer, maybe the best singer on the radio right now.
141 You can't let the assholes get you down. If someone is making a point that makes sense to you, consider it, but the people who think they're too good to squee are people who think that they lose their power if they say "yes" to something, so all they do is say no. Of course, no one squees all the time, but for some of us the non-squee happens offline—or, we just don't discuss what we don't like.
147 Or, you can just stay out of the fandom. I never went into fandom for plenty of shows I love—Six Feet Under, Sex and the City, HIMYM in a lot of ways.
