Almost all of the pairings I can be bothered to hate these days are rival pairings, and I hate them for exactly the reason you'd think. The idea of my OTP with other people is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

I'm not sorry about it, but I also don't go around crapping on rival ships. They may make my lip curl, but I keep it to myself. Or, if I'm asked about pairings I hate, I'll straight up say it's because they're rival ships.

This was me and John/Teyla and Rodney/Jennifer back in the day. I have reasons but I suspect it just boils down to the fact I ship McShep.
